Grounds: The Virginia Journal of Bioethics invites all persons to submit their papers to be considered for publication in our Spring 2017 issue. The VJB is a Journal committed to open and transparent dialogue concerning issues in biology, technology, health care, research, philosophy, policy, and all other areas interacting with modern bioethics. All papers will be considered for possible publication.
Papers: Pieces must be at least 2,000 words in length (excluding the abstract, headers, footnotes, and references and have a minimum of ten peer-reviewed references. Exceptions to the reference count may be made for more philosophically oriented papers. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about exceptions to these requirements.
Submissions should be double spaced and in 12 point Times New Roman font. Your document must include a reference section in Note Bibliography Chicago style. Please number each page in the bottom right hand corner, and include the title of your submission in the bottom left hand corner of each page. Please do not include your name in the submission, instead append a separate document with the name of your piece and the title.
Art: Poetry, clinical narratives, and visual art pieces concerning modern bioethical issues will be considered for possible publication as well. Any piece which can be represented appropriately in a print journal will be considered.
